  Webpage is a information source or documents that is for World Wide Web(www) and can be accessed through a web browser and displayed on a monitor or mobile device. This information is usually in HTML or XHTML format, and may provide navigation to other web pages via hypertext links.

  Actually we can see the webpage when you viewing any website that selling, restaurant, shopping shop and so on. Also, Webpages may be retrieved from a local computer or from a remote web server. The web server may restrict access only to a private network, e.g. a corporate intranet, or it may publish pages on the World Wide Web. Web pages are requested and served from web servers using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

           

INTRODUCTION OF DATA

  Data actually is an information that has been translated into a form that is more convenient to move or process. But, it is different nowadays already, if relative to today's computer or transmission media, data is become an information converted into binary digital form. There are some of the example such as facts observations about people ,place, things, events, audio, music, photographs, and video.

There have 2 ways that you can view the data, which are physical view and logical view.

For information, all organizations have computer-based information system.

This included these four types of computer-based information system:
 

1. Management Information System (MIS)
2. Transaction Processing System/Data Processing System (TPS/DPS)
3. Decision Support System (DSS)
4. Executive Support System/Executive Information System (ESS/EIS)

What is MIS??

- MIS use database management system to intergrate the databases of different departments.

What is  decision support system?

• This system is actually enables managers to get answer for unanticipated questions.
• Teams formed to address large problems use group decision support system (GDSS).

Decision support system consists of :

1. User
2. System software
3. Internal and External data 
4. Decision models

A user is any individual who uses a computer. 

System software is "Background" software that enables the application software to interact with the computer. System software consists of the operating system, utilities, device drivers and language translators. It works with application software to handle the majority of technical details.

Internal data is data from within an organization consisting principally of transactions from the transaction processing system. Meanwhile external data is data gathered from outside an organization. Examples are data provided by marketing research firms.

The decision model gives the Decision Support System its analytical capabilities. There are three types of models included in the decision model: Tactical, Operational, and Strategic model.

• Tacticle model is a decision model that assists middle-level managers to control the work of the organization, such as financial planning and sales promotion planning. 

• Operational model is a decision model that helps lower level managers accomplish the organization's day-to-day activities, such as evaluating and maintaining quality control. 

• Strategic model is a decision model that assists top managers in long-range planning, such as stating company objectives or planning plant locations.

WHAT IS INFORMATION FLOW??

Different level of management, different also in the information that each level needs..

this is because at each level of management, there are different roles and different in responsibilities that the managers keep.

thus, information flows in different directions..

Level of management is divided into three parts:

1. Top management:

• top managers are responsible with long-range planning(strategic planning)
• in other word, top management responsible for the performance of all departments.

• need information that help them to plan the future growth direction of the organization .

2. Middle management:

• control, planning(tactical planning), and decision making.
• implement long-term goals of the organization.

3. Supervisors:

• manage and monitor emloyess/workers.
• responsible on operational matters.
• monitor day-to-day events and immediately take corrective action, if necessary.
